BC Rich Guitars
B C Rich are best known for designing electric guitars with unconventional designs.Originally a repair service for Spanish and Classical guitars, the BC Rich guitar company was formed in 1972, by Bernado Chavez Rico.
He soon took the professional name of B C Rich. He got the idea from a friend Bobby Rich, who became known by the hispanic sounding name Roberto Rico.
Bernardo decided to do the reverse with his hispanic name, and so became known by the more English sounding name B C Rich.
B C expanded into producing solid-body electric guitars after he repaired snapped neck of Bo Diddley's legendary Gretsch.
By the mid-1980s, B.C. Rich guitars had become very popular with heavy metal bands. The unusal shapes seemed to fit with the image that the metalheads wanted to portray
